The Yak wool, Our expertise

Our expertise in manufacturing yak wool products is based on a holistic and sustainable approach, where we control every step of the supply chain, from sourcing the raw material to the final product. We have established close partnerships with only four family-owned businesses, which allows us to guarantee unparalleled quality and traceability in all our operations.

We start our process by working directly with local cooperatives that have direct contact with the nomads, who collect the yak hair by brushing in the spring. This relationship ensures a supply of raw materials of the highest quality.

Once the yak wool is collected, we proceed with meticulous hand sorting of the colors and qualities of the fibers, followed by a rigorous washing process using only clear water to ensure the purity and softness of the fibers. Next, we move on to the spinning process, where our skilled artisans transform the wool into high-quality yarns.

Some of these yarns are then woven into fabrics using traditional looms, producing warp and weft fabrics of remarkable finesse. Another portion is destined to be knitted into a diverse and elegant range of products.

We are proud to emphasize that our manufacturing process is entirely chemical-free, using only clear water to maintain the purity and durability of our products. Additionally, we prioritize waste reduction by transforming all fabric scraps into accessories or providing them to local artisans who create mattresses or felt, thereby contributing to a circular and sustainable economy.

In summary, our expertise in manufacturing yak wool products is distinguished by our holistic approach, control over every step of the supply chain, use of traditional and sustainable techniques, and commitment to quality, authenticity, and environmental respect.
